Baseball: Northwood Pitcher Dominic Mauro Commits to Cincinnati

Jordan Bischel and his staff continued to address pitching needs on Tuesday with the addition of Northwood sophomore right hander Dominic Mauro.

 

Mauro made 19 appearances this past season, finishing with 49 strikeouts in 44.2 innings, along with a 3.02 ERA. Mauro struck out a season high nine hitters in four innings of work against Illinois-Springfield. 

 

At 6'1", Mauro is a hard throwing right handed thrower, whose pitch selection includes a fastball that ranged from 93-96, a slider in the 81-83 range, a cutter that varies from 87-89, as well as a changeup in the 86-88 range. 

 

Mauro comes to Clifton with two years of eligibility remaining.
