Darrius Simmons Commits to UC

Cincinnati wrapped up their third official visit weekend with a commitment from Cairo (GA) defensive tackle Darrius Simmons.

Simmons held 19 Division I offers but ultimately chose the Bearcats over Memphis, South Carolina, South Florida, Tulane, and Western Kentucky, among others.

At 6'3" 300 pounds, Simmons is a disruptive force along the defensive line, showing good burst off the line to overpower offensive lineman, while also exhibiting speed and athleticism for a guy his size that allows him to get to the quarterback and make plays sideline to sideline. 

The Peach State product is the third defensive line commit for Coach Walt Stewart, joining Lance Dawson and Jeremiah Gray.
