Watch: Safety Markell Taylor Discusses Commitment to Cincinnati
UC's Georgia pipeline continues as they have landed another Peach State product in North Paulding (Dallas, GA) safety Markell Taylor.
Following his official visit this past weekend, Taylor decided to shut his recruitment down and choose the Bearcats over other offers and interest from Coastal Carolina, Kansas State, Memphis, Oregon State, and Wake Forest, among others.
Standing 6'1, 190 pounds, Taylor has the versatility to play any of the three safety positions as well as coming down to play some corner.
On film, Taylor shows great explosion and ball awareness and also plays a physical style of football, seeking contact when coming downhill to make tackles.
Taylor joined the At Large Bid Bearcats Podcast to discuss what stood out about Cincinnati and why he ultimately felt like Cincinnati was home.
Taylor is the highest rated commit of the 2026 class and the third defensive back to commit, joining Brody Jones and Jaidon Windom.
